I am a grown man, and I get reamed out for buying my 10 year old daughter a trac-phone. My ex sits there and tells me my daughter will be busy with projects this weekend and that weekend, and I will hardly get to see her. I am already having a hard time connecting with my daughter as it is becuase her mom has slandered me so much she doesn't respect me. Mom has control of everything. So I buy a trac phone to help me keep connected with my daughter, and her mom get's all self-rightous on me as if they are "Amish" and don't beleive in material possesions or luxerious items, and that I should have bought clothes with and new shoes with the money... what the???? I plan I buying all of that too!... what the frick? This custodial parent playing the trump card of shame and the court system on the non-custodial parent is bull crap. I am getting sick and tired of having my "intelligence" and "maturity" level being challenged all the time. To all u smart alecks who reply: bite me!

You need to march down to the courthouse and sue for visitation so mom won't be blocking your time with your daughter. You might be separated, but you dont have to answer to such b.s. A custody order will give you scheduled visits and if the mother persists in feeding you crap about how your child's so VERY busy, then she will be held to answer.
The phone is perfectly appropriate but you can also get it in a court order that you can have reasonable telephonic contact with the girl without Monster Mama being all in the middle.
Do it quick, it will save you frustration for years. Contact the clerk's office at your local civil court. You likely WONT need a lawyer for simple visitation.

I do agree with the person above that said that a 10 year old does not need a cell phone. Probably not what Mom is complaining about, but it is the truth. You can't buy your daughter's love and you can't buy the ex-wife's respect. You may never have either, but by achieving the love of your daughter the respect of your ex will perhaps follow. Fight the battles that you can win and forget the other fights.
I'm a guy, I know the court system sucks. What else is new? Move forward as it is all that you can do.

If you don't use a cable and software, you will pay a per picture charge. For most non prepaid plans it is a quarter a photo. Since prepaid tends to be twice the price, my guess it would be fifty cents a photo.

Good golly... all the ten year old kids I know have cell phones and most of them have camera phones! I'm an adult and all I have is a lowly Trac Phone. The kids all laugh at me and hug me sympathetically. Try really really hard to ignore your ex. And ignore the slander, too. Show your daughter that you care about her and she will ignore the slander too. Stick with it.

Sounds like you don't get to spend alot of time with her. You'd think if her mom was so righteous she would understand. She should never say bad things about you in front of her at all. That is not right. Have you thought about a lawyer?

It sounds like she is jealous that YOU the dad got her something she wanted and got the credit that she thinks she's entitled to.
Ignore her, she sounds like a 10 year old herself.

Is it possible your daughter is playing you against her?
Is it possible that your daughter is neglecting her chores, homework, etc to talk on her cell phone?
Is it possible your daughter has behaved irresponsibly with the equipment?

Because she is 10 years old!
Instead of complaining, why don't you admit to yourself what your real motives are?
Good luck.
