Buy a usb to PS2 adapter, and it should work properly. Here is a link to show what it looks like. Comp USA has them. It costs 2.49. A cheap fix, better than buying another keyboard. I keep several of them on hand at home just in case I have a computer to repair and need one. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?ref=yahoo&pfp=cat3&product_code=50892076

If your computer doesn't have any USB ports it must be pretty damn old.

There are adapters that can allow you to use a USB keyboard with a PS/2 port (and they're pretty cheap). Your keyboard may have come with an adapter (though if it hasn't trying the adapter from another person's keyboard probably won't work).

The adapters that come with keyboards are just dumb devices that connect the pins up differently and require specialised circuitry on the keyboard to be able to handle the PS/2 signals as well as USB (and tell the difference between them) whereas the adapters that are bought separately will actually convert between the two (they have very different electrical properties).

look for usb ports on your computer case. If you dont have any you can buy a pci card that has usb port on it.
