Ive been taking birth control for about 3 months now.
I got my period a week before it should come. It came on the first day of the light blue pills, the ones right before the inactive pills. If i have unprotected sex during the inactive pills, could i become pregnant? And is it normal for my period to come before the inactive pills?

Yes. It is possible to become pregnant during the inactive pills, but very unlikely. Your period usually does not come before the inactive pills.. so something fishy might be going on. Did you miss a few pills, or take them to early, or to late? This can actually alter the effectiveness of the pills. Since your taking birth control, this means your seeing a doctor.. to prescribe it. I suggest calling your doctor, and maybe asking.. just in case. It also depends on the type of birth control pills your taking. Some have a higher chance of spotting between periods. And.. maybe your just having that.. and not an actual period. GOOD LUCK :)

The cycle can be altered a bit if the time which you take the pill changes frequently. It is not normal to have the period come a week before the placebo pills. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
