“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”

An N. Gaiman fan you are, huh? 

No, quite the contrary, I revel in love. Love makes me a little vulnerable but love also makes me bold. Someone gets inside me but I am also getting deep inside someone. Far from making my stupid life more stupid, love frees the coward in me and makes me love life more than ever. True, love can hurt. Yet, as we like to say the greatest risk is to risk nothing. You love and you beget love. You wrap yourself in your armor, you will never know the wonders love can bring. And as we say again, love is something like trial and error. You love, you get hurt, you grieve, you learn, you love again. And the cycle can go on and on and on or it may just end up in wonderful love. I’m not a love freak, I’m also a little cautious about giving in to love. But as Aguadulce says, what the heck! I’m not scared of love and I don’t hate love!

I'm in love with love - making me too vulnerable, like china in one's hand. I've either loved at the wrong place or at the wrong time with the wrong person. Then, I always ended up hurt. But, then again, life goes on. The hurts become a thing of the past and lessons were learned.

No, I can't hate love.

No. I do not hate love and the chance it makes me vulnerable.

Love makes me whole. From my wife, family, parents, siblings, relatives, friends and even strangers. Hurt would always be part of love. There would be times that the one whom love you most will fail you. As they said, everthing happens for a reason. It will not be a bed of roses.

As someone quoted. "LOVE is like a FIRE. You do not know if it would WARM your heart or BURN your house down."

No, I don't. Without love, there will be no mankind. Without love, I wouldn't have children or grandchildren. The world will be such a lonely place. I know that everything is not perfect and that includes love. It has its moments in our lives, the happiness, the heartaches, the sleepless nights etc. and I wouldn't trade my world for anything else. I'll have love anytime no matter what it does to me. I will just think of the happy moments it has given me and not think of the hurtful ones. Give me love or give me death.

No. Although I've never been "in love", I believe it's what makes life worth living. We have heard lots of stories of how love brings hurt. And in a way, it does. But I believe love actually brings healing.

Life is a game and love is part of life.
You have to take risks in life as you do in love; sometimes you win and sometimes you lose; but when you win Love takes you to the highest pedestal of life where you can feel vertiginous pleasures that turn men and women into gods and goddesses.

I never let it make me vulnerable, not once and never will.. i may have fallen in love and almost helplessly down on my knees at one point, but at least i managed to stand up so that my face wont hit the ground.

well, this is what i do anymore: i duck down so that i wont be hit by it..

To love and to be loved is really a mixture of pain through your heart and soul. It gives so much fun and joy and happiness if you really loved the person you love and when you lost that person it really hurts and it feels like there's plenty of splinters and daggers that pokes to your heart and soul every moment you recall your past with that sweet creature. Love hurts...life sucks...I lost the love of my life...he's gone forever.
