i'm a red sox fan and it's kinda similar since we had to wait 86 years. if you're a true fan, you cant stop liking your team just because they arent winning...plus it makes it more exciting to watch since you're really hoping they'd win. personally, it would be cool to see the cubs win and i hope they do soon because i feel bad that they havent won for so long.....hopefully they'll win on their 100th anniversary =]

Well, it is a good thing I wasn't around for each year of this long drought, and personaly I don't see how Chicago Cubs fans can do this, going through this long time. I would think that is gets old to hear the words "Wait until next year" every year. And I am sad to say that it is going to be the case of this so called curse of the Chicago Cubs, but I believe that it will go on longer then 100 years. To me, I don't see the Chicago Cubs ever get serious about ending this long drought, and there have been many Chicago Cubs fans tha have lived and died, without seeing the Chicago Cubs win the World Series.

No Cubs fan today was around the last time they won the world series and you can't miss something you never had. The Cubs have a good team now and could step up and win one soon.

I would say most Cubs fans are Bulls fans as well. Six Championships in 10 years? All FOUR Philadelphia franchises combined have Eight. Phillies are the losing-est franchise in sports history over 10,000 losses. Won 1 World Series in 125 Years of existence. Eagles have never won a Super Bowl last won the NFL Championship in 1960 even the Cleveland Browns have won one since then. Flyers won back to back Cups in 74-75 but none since. The Sixers won our last championship in 1983 but have been pretty poor since then. So Cubs fans yeah you got it rough in one sport....Cleveland has it rough in 3 sports....Philly has it rough in all four major sports.

"Do they still play the blues in Chicago,
When baseball season rolls around?
When the snow melts away,
Do the Cubbies still play
In their ivy-covered burial ground?
When I was a boy
They were my pride and joy,
But now they only bring fatigue
To the home of the brave, the land of the free,
And the doormat of the National League."

They start partying on Opening Day and by the time the Cubs are mathematically eliminated in June, Cubs fans are too drunk to care! Then, you tell them it's football season and they start all over again!

Being a Chicagoan it is definitely tough. We all get our hopes up, maybe a little too high, and then when the bats don't start up the which was just extatic becomes depressed. The saying around my parts "Wait 'till next year."

Homesick? i think of no longer cry babies? we are mad at ourself, no one else. WS champions come and bypass, seem on the White Sox, specific they won it, this year in spite of the undeniable fact that they had to purchase Griffey only to make the playoffs while the Twins choked.
