I would never pay for propaganda. If the ruling elite want to inflict their opinion upon me, it damn well better be for free. I don't even subscribe to cable TV. There's just way too many propagandists floating around and not enough actual entertainment. Besides, one can still go to a library and pick up a couple of good history books absolutely free.

I get ESPN.com insider stuff with a subscription to the magazine of the same name. Considering how much material is out there, it's really not worth it on a personal level to pay for access. The Wall Street Journal might have value to those who need access to archives for professional reasons.
