It will end when people stop believing that a war can be waged on a concept or a tactic, as with the failing "War on Drugs (TM)."

"There will always be war, always has been always will be. You live in a dualistic plain. In the dualistic plain which we're in, if there’s an up there must be a down, if there’s an in there must be an out, if there’s a right there must be a wrong. And the only reason those exist is by comparison to the other. If there’s love there also must be hate. How do you know what love is if there’s no opposite. What is peace without war. It’s nothing."

The war in terror is not accomplishing anything just waisting money if anything it is a stupid war, we should have got what we needed done in the first year. Ronald Reagan never faught a war longer than 2 months. Oh and the astroid is going to crash in 2014.

No one can really tell when it will end, just as no one call really tell when it began. Such a conflict has been in existence since man discovered hate, and, until we can learn to forget it, the 'War on Terror' will continue to claim the lives of our friends and loved ones.

if you define terrorism as a random act of violence on innocent civilians in an effort to effect fear , well that's been going on since the first caveman decided he was willing to die for his cause or way of life. the present troubles in Iraq will stop when America stops threatening peoples causes and ways of life .

It is not really a war on terror that was just the terminology used to sell this war to the weak and easily led. The war is not meant to be won. The war is meant to usher in an era of new world government.

when this generation of Islamic militants is dead. Sad to say but it is going to be a long time before this is over. Israel has been fighting them for 40 years now. ( since they took the west bank ) Either we win there or we wait for them to come to us. A generation is about the length of time religious wars take to peter out

Hate to tell you, but even if a Democrat is elected president, we will still be in the Middle East for many years to come. There are estimates that we might be there for 50 years or more.

Hope that helps.
