I would respect it, but I wouldn't change mine nor would I necessarily agree with yours.

Everybody has the right to an opinion whether others share the same view or not is irrelevant. I would respect your opinion and any opinion of others, this is how we learn what makes the world go round, by listening and learning from what other people think. Speak and let the world hear your voice! That is what my dad says.

Yes, of course. That's how you feel and there's a reason you feel that way. There is also a reason why I have my own opinion. But, you always have to respect the other persons' view because that's what they believe in. Also they were probably raised on those views, but not always. Yes, I would respect you.

I would respect that you had an opinion....I mean at least you had thought about it which is better than most. I would not necessarily respect the opinion itself b/c either I totally disagree with it, or it is not well thought out.....i.e......'children can stay up until 2am because I think they should.' That is not a valid, well thought out answer, so I wouldn't respect it. And if you were the one who said it, then I wouldn't have much respect for your opinions either.

People tend to confuse fact with opinion. To answer your question, yes. I usually try to put myself in the other persons shoes before thinking about what my opinion on the subject is. It helps. It's also easier to get along with people if one knows how they would feel if it was their opinion and someone just dismissed it as "stupid" without taking a chance to think about it from another point of view.

Of course. If I want my opinion and want my opinion to be respected then I would treat others in the same manner!!

After all isnt that what the golden rule is all about. Treat others as you yourself want to be treated!!!

I may not agree with your opinion but I would respect it and your right to have it.

Yes; As long as it didnt offend me in anyway (but then agian thats the essence of ones own opinion). And by the way, this question is a bit over par for most of the peopel in this category; this would have been perfect in Social Science-Psychology!!!

Certainly, why not!

Most things in life are not black or white. In fact, they come in all shades of gray so a difference of opinion should not only be accepted but expected.

Quite frequently you learn more from a person whose opinion differs from yours because it can open up a whole new perspective on a particular issue.

Yes, as long as it is a rational and well thought opinion. Different ideas make the world go round.

As long as it wasnt overly stupid. I respect a well thought out opinion of logic but... there are opinions that are just... ignorant.
