I am all for finding a way to laugh through a bad situation, but there is a time and a place for the jokes and a time and place for seriousness...don't you think??

Like the song says, "I'm the guy who laughs at a funeral" we sometimes use this as a way to defuse the tension we feel. If we let it get to us, any situation we are in for that matter, many of us may just crack. There are many serious problems not just there but all over. When will it end? Never, so we have to do something to deal with it, otherwise the hopelessness of everything will overwhelm us all. We use laughter or joking about bad situations to help us through them, so we can face the next hopeless situation that will follow on its heels.

there is an arabic phrase that says ' the worse things when they happen, ánd you lose it all, it makes you laugh'
growing up in lebanon, was not an easy thing, almost every single family lost a beloved because of the war, I ad to go to school walking through tanks and dead bodies, after all the pain, the shock, the agony, you can let yur soul fade, or be a lebanese, u find smthg that makes u smile n laugh no matter h ugly life is.
in the middle of the war, when it was raining rockets, decemeber 31st, 12:00 all cannons used to shut up, and u can hear music, people celebrating a new year, with all hope and faith its gona be a good one.
thats the spirit lebanese have....
long live lebanon , home sweet home

let's get realistic here. our troubles border so much on the comical.
Anyone who takes a step backward and looks at the current situation and its absurdity will surely find it worth the laugh.

We have managed to divide the country, a new presidential election is due next week and our stubborn politicians can't meet or compromise to make it happen and yet you stop and wonder what is it exactly that they are disagreeing about?
ah yes, " I'm more Lebanese than you"..." No way! I'm more Lebanese than you"
" I'll bring the whole damn country down to prove to you that i am more Lebanese than you."

as if this isn't funny, if it wasn't real people's lives at stake here it would even be hilarious.

aaahh thats life....
i hear all kinds of stuff about palestine and its problems
yesterday i was carrying a box in school i had to drop of in a classroom, like ten people came by and asked me "is that a bomb hahaha???? CRAZY ARAB SUICIDE BOMBER ALLAHU AKBAR ALLAHU AKBAR!!" (they werent arabs or muslims lol. they were my friends and they were joking :P )

but still,
its not just lebanon,
even the most morose and serious issues are mocked,

its not a good thing to get used to,
but there is nothing we can do about it
so we might as well...
