A blighted ovum is also known as an empty sac or an anembryonic pregnancy. Your breasts will still be sore since your body thinks its pregnant. Give the baby the benefit of the doubt. Are you completely sure of your last menstrual period? It's possible that your dates are off and that the yolk sac is not visible yet. Usually during the first trimester, you are plus or minus a week. Also, there is the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy so you might want to rule that out. A yolk sac is normally visible at 5.5 weeks so if you are off a week, you might have a normal pregnancy. How are your HCG levels? Normal levels double every 48 hours. Good Luck

my sister had a blighted ovum which was picked up at 8 weeks. She still had the sore boobs and nausea until they did a d&c (dilation and curette) to remove the tissue and sac. It may not spontaneously miscarry which is very normal, but it may take a few more weeks till all your symptoms go away.

It may have just been a little early so I would wait another week (this is what my sister and my friend did) and have one last scan to see if there has been any change in the sac/foetus.

Good luck and fingers crossed all will be well.

I had a blighted ovum last year at this time. I had my ultrasound at 6.5 weeks and there was no fetus. My body was still producing the pregnancy hormones though, so I had to get a D and C. maybe you should wait one more week and have a third ultrasound, especially if there is a 25% chance. The best of luck to you.
