Carry mace or have someone film them from a distance while your walking by. That'll put them in big trouble and their parents will see. Or you can just go to their parents and talk to the parents yourself.
I was picked on by 3 kids almost all the way through 7th grade. I'm out of college now. I asked my parents first and I went two of the parents houses after school when I knew the kids weren't home and I spoke w/the parents. The other parent I called on the phone by looking on the internet. If you intelligent to ask the question, then you should be intelligent to speak w/the parents in person so they know your serious. Parents will always do something if you talk to them in person because they feel embarrassed.
Good luck

Well I have a very bad temper and am 6'1" 210lbs. of martial artist. I would take the guy on. You have every right to punch back. In a multiple person situation your goal is to restrain one of them, possibly in a choke, while telling the others to back off. It'll work because they wouldn't want you breaking there buddy's trachea.
Also, depending on how old you are and where you live you may want to get a concealed weapon. Remember you'd rather have a gun and not need it then need a gun and not have it. 5 on 1 is cowardice and most likely they're armed so you should be too.
Now this question has me angry. Email me for more help or combat tips.

You are so right there is nothing you can do if they decide to jump in because you beat their friend up. But you were just defending yourself and that person you beat up or just hit back will not be surprised. So follow your gut instinct you should know better than to try to fight everyone and risk losing your face but if you do fight back and live to tell the story I think you should still press charges if you know them or be cautious when you see a familiar group of those losers because they are seeking trouble and this time they will try to make it more interesting.

I pick my battles, the ones I will win -fight dirty fast and final. Then press charges.
If I couldn't win, I would run like hell and press charges.
If I could diffuse the situation creatively, that is my first choice, and learn their id's for future reference. Maybe file a police report if I thought it would prevent or convict on future injury to myself or someone else.
Carry a cheap camera for faces and license plates.
Write down a statement as soon as you are in a safe place while your memory is fresh with the date time and location. Do a head count and descriptions asap. Memory tweaks over even a short time.

If I could run for help I would, because obviously I'm not super woman for fighting them all at the same time and expect to get out alive or without a few broken bones.
Their cowardice is greater than mine ,for sure, as they are not capable of giving a fair fight anyway.
hahha Run Forrest run! that was funny...and so right!!!

I'd try to beat the crap out of all of them if they punched me or harrassed me (verbally or physically). I'd probably get some scratches and brushes but eh. If they would win, I'd call the cops and tell them I used self defence, cause obviously I would. If I beat the crap out of them, well then they shouldn't bother me anymore.
But then again, that might not be the right way to do things. That's just my way. Lol. Look at Mike Vallely videos of him beating people up. :/

The odds usually aren't good against multiple assailants especially five unless you are a martial arts master. My first reaction would be to defend myself of course. If I started losing or felt that the odds were not in my favor I would run.
I would note their descriptions and report it to the police. If you were cornered and had no choice... then you did what anyone would have to do.

Run, Forest, Run! Dude, I don't care if they're gone or not when the cops come. I'm running and maybe even yelling a little, maybe screaming like a little girl a little. It would be cool to know Karate at that point. Wwahhhh!

I'd ask what the **** it was for, that's what I'd do! If the person says they were just playing around or whatever, I'd leave it alone. But if they started being snappy and rude, I would probably punch the kid right back.

No.
I'd run.
You don't have a chance against 5 of them.
The type of person who would just do that would be hanging out with similar people. You know they'd get involved.
