When I first clicked on this picture I thought I could smell it. Is this possible? See if you do it.

It wasn't if I put my nose up to the screen, but at when I very first clicked it, I smelt it I think it was my brain playing tricks on me.

Yes

I hope that is the answer you want to a question that most people will say "No" to and consider you an idiot.

The olfactory part of the brain is right next to the memory part. Smell is an intense and complicated sense in our body.

The subtle details of our ability to distinguish smells is probably greater than taste, touch, sound or sight.

It follows that if you see a picture which your brain associates with a memory or a concept then you smell it. OK?

I thought I smelled burnt sugar and butter. I see colors in music, I heard on NPR it's not unusual.
You are into music or art, I'll bet.
Our brains are different than other people's.

No smell, odor, pheremones apparent. Is it possible with you? I don't know as I don't know whether you have problem sinuses or not. On the other hand, there are odors which will bring back distant memories. The smell of warm flannel sun-dried sheets will take me back to when I was two years old. That more years than I care to divulge!

No i did not smell caramel.

Humans can not smell pictures. It is the sight we see that sends a signal to the brain and makes us reminisce of how the picture actually smells if indeed there is a smell to it.

Sorry, It is a no. It didn't work for this nose. It probably reminds you of something and that brought back the smells of what it was you remembered.

Nope, sorry. It isn't even a scratch and sniff, no matter how much I scratched the screen nothing smelled.

no you can't. but if you have smelled caramel before, your brain is linking the image to your senses, which is a form of sensory imagery.
