why doesn't harry show his memories to the ministry of magic in harry potter and the GOF when he returns fighting voldemort inside the pensieve. even if he dosent know how to, dumbledore could have helped him. he could've shown the memory to the ministry out of dumbledor's pensieve. and i know memories can be tampered with but that dosen't affect this situation becuase its too realistic to make all that up in your head. and i know there are a lot of 'what ifs' in harry potter, but this one isn't explained by j.k rowling.

Fudge probably wouldn't have believed him because he didn't want to believe that Voldemort had returned. Also, memories can be falsified. An example of this is the memory Slughorn altered before giving to Dumbledore. False memories can also be created and planted into someone's mind, as Voldemort did to his uncle.

As mentioned above, a lot of different aspects come into play. First of all, the minister never would have allowed it. Even though you say it's probably impossible, you know that the minister would have said that Harry had Dumbledore tamper with his memory.

I also don't believe Dumbledore will let Harry do that. Harry already had to live through that memory, so to take the minister into it would be double for him. It's one of the reasons Harry is so upset in that book.

Also, if you remember, in the OOTP Dumbledore tries to ignore Harry so that Voldemort won't go into his mind. I bet if word got out that Harry and Dumbledore were trying to get that voldemort is back out to the public, voldemort would definitely have acted faster on harry... and Dumbledore knew that.

That's my guess, anyway :)

Even if Harry had tried, what's to say Fudge would have allowed it. Much less believed them. Remember, Fudge was trying to make everyone think nothing was happening. As were others at the ministry, particulary Umbridge. They didn't want the truth getting out because if it had people would have lost confidence in the ministry.. Remember how after Fudge fell Scrimgeour tried using Harry to make folks think the Ministry was indeed protecting them? Same thing there, but the ministry then had to admit that Harry and Dumbledore had been telling the truth. Voldemort returns to a physical form he can show to the public and the ministry didn't want to admit to it due to the fear it would have caused.

It wouldn't have mattered. Fudge would have claimed the memory was fake. It wasn't that Fudge actually thought Harry and Dumbledore were crazy or liars, he could not accept that Voldemort was back until he saw it for himself because that meant big problems that the ministry hadn't seen in years. Fudge just didn't want to deal with it.

I'm not sure Dumbledore would have wanted to give the Ministry that much access to Harry's head.

because they still don't know who inside the ministry is real and who is under voldemorts control. plus, you'd have to show more then just one person. and.....once they saw the pensieve with dumbledores memories they would want to see them all. and dumbledore knew a lot of things he didn't want others to know.

Cornelius Fudge was trying to hide Voldemort's existance (Even if h didn't know wether it was real or not) because he didn't want the public to panic. I'm not sure if thats right, but I hope it helps!

because harry was so young. dumbledore loved harry and was going to do what he had to to protect him. i believe the removal of the exact memory of harry's would have caused him tremendous pain and suffering.

Because the struggle to make people believe him, in the fifth book, would be non-existent.
