To depend on another persons comfort and presence so strongly could be a awkward mistake...You can be single, shrugging off the perhaps loneliness of not been with the same partner or not having a partner and actually enjoying being single.Quite honestly, some individuals life's are easier without a partner!

I like the intamicy that comes with being in a relationship so no, I don't think I could survive without a partner.
I don't believe in marriage so the spouse thing is N/A to me.

I've been married twice and didn't like it much, lol. I've been on my own for the last 10 years or so and i think i will stay that way now and happy to be so. I think that as long as you are happy in your own company, then anyone can do it. Others need to have a partner. Neither way is wrong, it all comes down to what makes you happy.

I think I could do that quite easily, since I'm not a people-person, so to speak. Besides, I consider animals to be better companions than other people. Although I have many friends, I don't believe living and dealing with someone on a daily basis is necessary and I probably couldn't handle it.

Having been married or with my partner for 38 years I can't imagine life without him!!!!!! Being a realist and my 'health' circumstances I know it's more likely I will not have to! How long he would survive me, who knows? But he'd have no choice! If I lost him first then I'd have no choice either!
That's the thing about life, things happen and you have no choice but to survive them!

Yes. I do not plan to have a family, thus a partner's role would be for companionship. If one does not have compainonship from anyone it would be difficult. But we can find companionship through books, philosophy, nature, events, the places we work etc.

No, I wouldn't survive without a girlfriend at least. I'm trying to have success at dating, and not having a girlfriend at the tie is a struggle for me. LOL.

i probably could, but the point of having a partner or spouse is not to survive but to be happy, and although i prefer animals to humans,it just wouldn't make me happy to be alone.and paying for sex just doesn't appeal to me.

Geez. I have. I'm 62. I don't do well at relationships & decided a long time ago to make some poor guy happier by my not marrying him. I wish I could live with someone but it isn't meant to be.

Yes. I think anyone who is very independent. Who is fine without a strong connection to people, and is happy living inside their own skull, could easily do it.
