I heard somewhere that you have to have an orgasm so that the cervix can "suck up" the sperm??? I mean isn't the cervix hole open all the time or does it completely close when you're not ovulating? I'm so confused!

**IF the cervix is closed at certain times then why is it said to lay there for 15-20 min with a pillow propped below you? Then I would think there wouldn't be any point laying there if nothing is really going up there?

I hope I make sense....maybe I'm just reading too much and worrying for no reason...

If you're ovulating your cervix will be slightly open, if you orgasm it will be slightly more open.

But you dont have to, it will still work.

I read that it helps in conception that you both have a orgasm at the same time. When you are contracting from the orgasm it helps to propel the sperm up. That doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant when you don't have one.

I too have heard the pillow thing, supposedly the gravity helps the sperm migrate, but I think if you are meant to get pregnant you do. They also suggest different positions like missionary and from behind. I know of women who have conceived in a shower standing up. If you are TTC, just have fun with it! It will happen.

no you do not have to have an orgasm to get pregnant all you have to do is have intercourse while ovulating. there is always an opening to your cervix. and you should lay for at least an hour not just 15-20 minutes. thats what i did and got pregnant on the first try.

The only one who HAS to orgasm to make a baby is the MALE. For the female it's optional. Plenty of women have sex without orgasms who end up pregnant.

When you are not fertile the cervix opening is closed. When you are fertile, it's open.

Good luck.

i imagine you're confusing ejaculate with orgasm. maximum women individuals won't be able to 'ejaculate' as adult adult males do {and those who ought to are in many cases adult movie stars]. Having an orgasm, notwithstanding, relaxes the muscle mass contained in the vagina and 'coming' delivers lubrication to help the sperm up the canal. it really is no longer nessesary, notwithstanding it particular makes it a lot extra relaxing!
