The timing belt and water pump go in at the same time and there shouldn't be any extra charges to do both. That is except for the price of the part.It took me 2.5hrs to do my Toyota Camry and I'm not a repair shop.Check 4-5 shops and choose the one that seems to be the most professional..

Easiest thing is to get out a phone book and start calling local repair shops and ask them. Ask around for local opinion on which ones are reliable. The more reliable / experienced shops and mechanics can give you more of an idea , because if you have the parts , it's just a matter of the labor cost, and a good busy shop will have done the job a lot , so they know. One thing though - it's been my experience that quite a few shops will not provide a warrantee on labor if you supply your own parts.

It depends on where it's located in your car. Most are pretty tucked back there and can become pricey because it takes a decent amount of time to disassemble and reassemble parts to get to it. I have a '99 Chrysler 300M and had mine replaced about a year ago. Parts were roughtly $100 while labor was about $300. Make sure they do both at the same time so you don't have to pay extra to go in and do the other at a seperate time.

They should charge @a std time for the job, usually about 1.4-1.8hrs, around $75 p/hr so guess about $135 for labour. Ideally replace tensioner and idlers too as they are consumiable parts. Ring around for a compedative price.

Water pumps are easy. Timing belt, there's a lot to take off to do that. I'd get help if I were you.

Just shop around and make sure it is a reputable shop. The cost should be @ $200+. The shop that you go to will most likely tell you to replace your tensioner also.
