The case is still in the preliminary hearing stage to determine if it should even be sent to trial. The two major problems are the audio tape and the presence of the firearms in that room. His saying that no one is going to leave is a verbal admission he is engaging in kidnapping. That's life without parole in Nevada. The firearms put this into the category of using a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime. Under Nevada law, that doubles the sentence automatically and requires the guilty part to perform a minimum of 70% of the adjudged sentence before the first parole hearing. This isn't the "Peoples Republic of California". It's the old West.
What is most interesting is the presence of John Moran, Jr. as one of his defense attorneys. Moran is the son of a former Clark County Sheriff and his past legal work has been in the area of zoning matters.

The best evidence against him is his own voice on the audio tape instructing others not to let the people get out of the room. There will be problems with all the witnesses as they don't seem to be sterling citizens, but the tape will give O.J. some grief, I believe.

Actually after listening to some of the hearing today, I think he has got some pretty vile and sneaky lawyers on his side once again. I think he may get a very mild sentence.
I still cannot believe the media presence this scumbag still gets!!

He has 12 separate charges made against him so in theory he should not get off this time. But he is a very slippery snake and may even do it a second time, He will probably come up with another pair of gloves

I think he's gonna get it this time. I had a feeling he was going to get off for killing his wife. Unfortunately, I was right. But this time is different. There is too much evidence against him.

As portrayed in the tape, there is no honor among theives. I think no one will go to jail. Too much to discredit from all sides.
