Yes the burning charcoal in a confined space like a garage is dangerous. It produces a byproduct of CO carbon monoxide. CO will kill you and you might not even realize you are getting sick.
You are better off getting an infrared propane fired heater. They need ventilation but are much safer to use in a garage.

1. Carbon monoxide is produced by burning charcoal. Like leaving the car running inside & closing the door of the garage.
2. Gas fumes from nearby mowers etc.could ignite.

Yes, extremely dangerous. The fumes from it are highly toxic, and can kill you. Read the warnings on the bag.

Really bad idea!!! You could die/kill others!!! use a couple of heat bulbs w/rite electicials for a bit of warmth & work hard!! That helps!!
