certainly fires 'em up. They're now on a mission to be the best and people will revisit the weak schedule and results of the '72 Dolphins. Since there will be now 2 undefeated teams, it opens the door up to "It's not Unique" and while the Patriots after further inspection will be "The Greatest Team of All Time" it will open the door to the Bears being number 2 and perhaps a 49ers team in 3rd place. that is what Shula fears when all is said and done and that's what will be, the dustbins of history, and all that.
Everyone had their chance to remark when the spygate was fresh and the party line was "See, they didn't do it fair and square, let's see how the result against a tough team like San Diego without the camera". Of course, we know the result week in and week out, so they've backtracked to "they're cheaters" even though logic would dictate "not this year" and intelligence would lead to the conclusion that no competitive advantage was gained ever. A nuisance psychological ploy which uncovering backfired in Mangenius' face - He'll be out of a job shortly.

mr shula should just stay out of talking about something thats not even happened yet..we are just in the middle of the season and there is still alot of football to play..but football when he coached is a lot different now..what i say about don shula is stay on your diet and leave football alone..why because he doesnt know football as football is played today// but life will go on

It should fire them up just as the allegations and discoveries from earlier in the year. Not to say that they weren't good already, but it is clear that they are out to send a message that no matter what, they are clearly the best the league has to offer.
Shula can say what he wants, but if they pull it off, statiscally, it's in the books, whether he likes it or not!

Folks, the Patriots will not win 16 straight games this season and no persons comments will affect this outcome.I know they have a very good shot at it but i would think realistically and put them at 15 and 1 in the regular season

who cares really.... people are making way too much of it.
if you can't take tough criticisms and are going to let a little comment make effect the way you play, then you need to get out of the sporting world.
