Hi,
I am 20, and I will go to see my husband after a year apart. Because of all the waiting, I know he will be a little eager (hm).
I am VERY cautious. I was wondering, should I use BOTH condoms and birthcontrol pills?
I was also wondering, do birth control pills start working with the first one, or does it take a few days to get started?

takes a month for bc pills to be effective, but definitely use a condom. You don't know who he's been with.

You shouldn't count on birth control pills working until you've taken them for a full cycle - which is the entire 28 day pack. I would definitely recommend condoms.

I wouldn't count on the pill unless you have been taking it steady for at least one month.
However, i wouldn't recommend condoms either, because they make for sucky sex.
You could try one of the other, over the counter products, or go get fitted for something that doesn't get in the way as much as condoms do.
