...if I wanted to be near orca whales in their natural habitat (not sea world, hehe)? Are there any particularly active spots around the world?

...
They may technically be dolphins, but c'mon...who calls them orca dolphins? I don't think they'll be offended if I call them whales.

What I was getting at was, I hear there are some hot spots on the coast of Africa and India, etc... but I don't know a lot about it so I asked here.

As Orcas prefer cooler temperatures they are more concentrated in NORTH-EAST PACIFIC BASIN (junction of Canada and Alaska), off the COAST OF ICELAND and off the COAST OF NORWAY.

They are also regularly sighted along the ANTARCTIC but will you be interested to live there?

Orcas can also be sighted frequently along THE SALISH SEA or GEORGIA BASIN which area includes coasts of WASHINGTON, VANCOUVER,and BRITISH COLUMBIA. Check out the areas with frequent sightings.

Sightings along the tropical waters are very rare.

The orca is found in all the oceans of the world, though they are more abundant in cooler waters. See range map below:

lots of orcas in alaska, although they migrate seasonally. Also, don't call orca's whales. They're actually dolphins

Well you have to find the most active food source, penguins and seals. Im sorry to break it to ya but the place your most likely to find these amazing creatures is in the place your least likely to live, Anarctica. North of the Ross ice shelf is a good place to start. Good Luck!

In the middle of the ocean. Or at the bottom. Good luck.
