No. Having a baby is a serious, long-term commitment that you should only commit to if you want to raise a child.

If you want to add meaning and purpose to your life, try volunteering. Find something you like to do - be it help the environment, work on a political campaign, or help animals - and use that to make life more meaningful.

You may also want to attend some religious services to help you find meaning. If you're not religious and don't know where to start, do some reading about the different religions and see if you can find one that fits what you believe.

If, after all of that, you still want to have a baby to add meaning and purpose to your life, get a puppy instead! :-)

Only have a baby if you want to raise that baby to be a child and then a teenager through hard times and sad ones. Really you should find your own purpose and meaning to life before you have a baby, so you are happy and settled with your life and you can pass that knowledge onto your child. Think of if you had a child who was grown and they asked you this question, what would you say?

No, you must establish meaning and purpose before bringing a child into the world.

you should have a baby because you want a human that you raised in your life. you should have a baby because your in love and you want to mix your love into one person. you should have a baby because you can. you should have a baby because you want to teach, learn and share your love with another human life and you want to pass something on to someone else when you are gone. so you think about it. it's gotta be something you truly want.
