I agree, and here's why....

Rice probably has the best numbers of the three, edged out slightly by Murphy in homers. Though known as a power hitter, he has well over 2,00 hits. Only negative maybe that all of his stats are related to batting with little to do with playing left-field.

Dick Allen has probably been the most overlooked player deserving of the HOF for all of the wrong reasons. A rookie of the year, MVP, and multiple year all-star sets him among some of the best. Incredible slugging pct. numbers, and one of the most feared power hitters of his time. Attitude and controversy along with questional defensive play have had him black-listed for year.

Dale Murphy was always a consistent number. He too had great numbers among these three. A multiple MVP winner and 17 year career are among his accomplishments. However, I think the lop-sided balance between early and later half of careers drop his impact in this category, though very possible the most popular of the three.

It tough....I'd have to say Rice, Murphy, and Allen.........I put Allen last cause it doesn't look like he's going to get in ever. And you know how it goes with players who constantly don't get in eventually people forget about you. It's a shame Allen was a hell of a player. Then again Jim Rice and Murphy both belong as well.

I agree with your order of selection however I don't see any of them getting in the hall. Rice and Allen have comparable numbers and even though Murphy has more home runs, his batting average is way too low, (.265)

Unfortunately these three fall into that "very good" category which is just not enough to join Cooperstown.

I wouldn't put any of them in the Hall, although Rice is close. Murphy and Allen follow.

Ron Santo might be the next in line among hitters; Rich Gossage definitely should get in this year.

Only Rice deserves to be in the HOF. Both Allen and Murphy were good players but not HOF caliber.

greater deserving? i could could pass with Rice, in spite of the undeniable fact that Allen had much greater expertise, expertise he wasted. Allen replaced into too lots of a clubhouse maximum cancers and, even together with his ability, relatively did no longer help the communities for which he performed. yet in certainty, i does no longer placed the two participant interior the hall.
