This is my first time renting an apartment and i wanted to get some information. I am currently on a 1099 basis with my employer and do not have any pay stubs or W2 to provide to managment. Do most apartments accept this document as proof of income? I have been employed with the company for the past 7 years.

Many apartment complexes just run a credit check and do not always require a W2 form and what not. Check with a few complexes in your area. Often the landlord will require your boss/manager to fill out a form and fax over something to prove you are employed there.

Just show him the whole paycheck and let him call the boss.
