I have tried Tilex mold/mildew,Tilex soap scum, the works, and even incessant scrubbing. I haven't tried a Bleach solution yet, the fumes are rough. Is there anything more milder?

Soft Scrub Deep clean scrubbing cleanser. Spray it on, let sit about 5 minutes and then get it with a nail brush. Came right off the first time for me. It does all the hard work for you and the smell won't run you out of the house. It is a type of mold.

that pink stuff is the very begining of mold. it will appear between the tiles, you can try all the abrasive, smelly stuff, but when you catch it early like this, just use, scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner, or tilex shower cleaner, both are clear liquid.

I couldnt tell you what it is with out seeing it, but my guess is, it may be the glue from the tile. We just bought a house and the bathroom tile had this orange stuff that looked like it ran down the wall and I tried everything and finally I got a butter knife and scraped it off (very carefully)... no cleaner will take it off from my experience, you have to scrape it.
