I think I should go down in Guinness book of world records for the stupidest thing ever put into a washing machine. Believe it or not, a feather pillow! I was picking' feathers out of the little drain holes for days! HA!

My red white and blue shorts I bought for a 4th of July picnic. Now I've got a pair of purple shorts. Money and Car keys come out nice and clean too. But don't put the money in the dryer. Bills tend to burn easily. Can't figure that out. My grocery list came out nice and dry.

I put my school textbook in the washing machine...it was wrapped up in clothes and I forgot and put it in the wash.

Also, I put about fifty dollars in bills in my pocket and put them in the washing machine. Luckily, they came out unharmed.

One other time, I left a pocket with some change, my house key, and a few pointy objects there. They ripped through a few shirts, and I lost my key. All that was left was a penny that had become very shiny.

I've done a LOT of stupid things with the washing machine.

My hubby doesn't always check his pockets before his jeans in the wash. And, I sometimes for get to check and just throw them in. Imagine my surprise when I found out I had washed his wallet, keys, pocket knife and change purse. The amazing thing is none of his important things were ruined.

Well, the "by mistake" part ruined my answer, but I'm going to answer anyway. It wasn't by mistake, but I put fresh mustard greens in my washer. Much easier than washing by hand, but quite a pain in the *** to clean out the washer.

I washed my chemistry notes.
They were in the pocket
of my best jeans
& I forgot they were there.
I also washed my bottle
of allergy pills in this
same wash.
I'm thinking about changing
my motto to :
"Will wash strange items with laundry,
for NO apparent reason!"

how about my pay check?

i worked the overnight shift in a group home for boys. i grabbed up enough denim to cover the world, and tossed every thing i saw in the washer.

when the cycles finished, i started pulling out the clothes and to my shock and horror, i also started pulling out little bits of paper.

oh, my goodness! that was my paycheck and it was in my own denim jacket pocket that had gotten caught up in the sweep.

it took me two or three weeks to get a replacement check; at which point i barely had enough money for the bus fare to get back to work another day.
