My boyfriend and i were going to name are baby Destin, if it was a boy, but everyone says that it is too much like the diaper cream desitin, what do you think?

who cares what other people think if you like it thats all that matters and its not that bad. People will make fun of any name no matter what it is.

i have never heard of the diaper cream desitin, so I wouldn't have thought that.
I don't have kids though. Either way, it's totally up to you and not them. Plus, once you have a child and give him a name, no one thinks about diaper cream! They think about the child!!!

I think about the trashy place in Florida that highschoolers go to for spring break. And I agree about the desitin. It also sounds like someone who can't pronounce destiny.

There are other names which are similar like Dezmond also. Than there are other variations of Destin like Destan or a unique version: Dezdon. Destin doesn't sound as bad as some names do and it isn't as popular or typical either. You might try a different spelling instead so it doesn't look like Desitin.

The first thing I thought of was the diaper cream... The thing you want to think of while picking out a name for your child is how will this name affect your child in school and growing up.

Destin is a great name. I live in Destin, Florida where the emerald green beaches are absolutley beautiful. So that is a different way to look at it.

Destin reminds me of a the beach in Florida.
It also seems like the male version of Destiny.
