I was a dishwasher for $3.35 an hour (minimum wage back in 1985.) The main thing I didn't like about it was the fact that I was a dishwasher for minimum wage.

I worked in a small family owned grocery store. Stocked shelves, cut and weighed meat, ran the cash register, and we even took orders over the phone and I did the deliveries in a pickup truck when I got my driver's license. There was nothing about it I did not like. It was great to earn money after school. I worked 2 1/2 hours Monday through Thursday, 4 1/2 on Friday and 8 on Saturday; 22 1/2 hours per week. Pay was a buck an hour.

My first job was at Chuck E. Cheeses. I liked being able to play video games for free. I hated getting into that stupid Chuck E. Cheese costume.

I worked in an awful family owned department store. They worked me to death with little pay. I guess they thought I was free or something.
