Or should we do James or Jamison? Also, does anyone know any good three letter nick names for a boy that end with a B? (other than Rob)? Thanks!

Jamie is fine for a boy. You can name him James, Jameson, Jamison, etc, and call him Jamie. I don't think that would be wrong at all. I like it. I think it's like Jess and Jesse - it's making a big comeback.

Bob. Jeb.

To be clear, the feminine way is JAIME (and I've also seen JAYME). The masculine is JAMIE or JAMEY.

I have to say that Jamie/Jamey/Jaime, etc is one of the most difficult names. Not only could it be for a boy or a girl, there are a million and one different ways to spell it... I think it sounds neat though. I know a couple of guys named James and Jamison that go by Jamie and I think that's a much better way to do it... And the only three letter name I can think of is Job. (Jobe)

I'd name him James and use Jamey as a nickname.

Jamie is more of a girl's name now, though some famous people (Jamie Kennedy and Jay Leno -- who was called Jamie by his parents-- come to mind) have that spelling.

I have a friend (female) named Jamie. Her given name is Jamieson. I think she was named after someone though.

As for the other part of your question... Bob/Rob are the only ones I can think of.

Jamie IS a boys name. i dont really like it on girls. most people called james will end up being called jamie or jay. so calling a boy james you could use any of those. i dont like jamison though for a first name.

I know girls named Jamie but no boys other than one that I went to high school with 20 years ago.

I like Jamison better than James.

the only name I can think of for a boy that end in a b are Bob, Jeb and Zeb

Hmmmm... I think Jamie works fine but I like Jamison better (he won't mind either, I think). Consider the obvious Bob or not so obvious (and I actually have heard this one) Streb with a nickname of Seb. That was from a Russian friend. Think of your backround too, like Jebediah could be Jeb or whatever.

Jamie comes off to me more as a writer/artist type of person, while James not as much, just a tad more macho. Jamison might be cool, as he could choose which name he could use 'for short'.

I would name my son James or Jamison and call him Jamie

People name their boys Jamie, I would not
I would make sure he has a grown up name

I've heard of Jamie for a boy. It's not too common around where I live. I think it's a great name. James also works too.
