Check it out! I'm in!!! I have said all
along that if Seniors bonded together
we could change this country for the
better. Morgan: Are you a guy or gal?
This is your idea, so let's get it rolling.
Ok everyone, start sending in names.
55 Alive? The Boomers Union?
I gotta think on this awhile.
I already belong to the Alliance for
Retired Americans, but all they do is
ask for money.

You're speaking in the vein that there could be another political party made up of anyone, over 55? I think that would
be great. I would think that those over 62 might have a differ-
ent perspective on matters, due to being born during the
war years. Because of that, I think they would have a solid
view of things from the hardships they've endured all these
many years and under so many more presidential cabinets.
I think that there shouldn't just be two strong parties. I have
seen that there are just as many faults among the Repubs. as
there are among the Demo's. And I feel that all people should vote for the persons running for that particular office, and not vote just to their party and not care what the contenders believe in. A straight party ticket, is what I mean. I know people who do that, based on the 'working man' ethics and feel their party can do no wrong.
I think it's time to form a party of retirees, and find one
person with honest and caring viewpoints that is willing to
withstand the pressures of the presidency and run for what
this nation of retirees feels is important. I want a president
that actually listens to what the people of this great nation
wants. Especially those retired senior citizens. So what
better way, than if we have a senior running for office? He
wouldn't have to have politics in his background either. In
fact, that would ensure his honesty, wouldn't it :)? Well it's
a good thought and I wish we had someone else to run.
As it stands now, I don't feel like voting for anyone running.

An honest answer, we would be for a short time. We are the baby-boomers. My friends have been droping like flies. I also live in a place where seniors come for the winter season. A lot of these people should not be driving, but they have the political power for the state to not require driving tests & don't revoke lisences even after several accidents.

I am against unions of any kind. But to answer your question - have you ever heard of AARP? Their magazine, alone, has the highest circulation of any publication in the world. I used to belong but then I got a little disappointed with them, always begging for money and being a little more than liberal in their thinking! CJ

i was going to say AARP before I saw the rest of the question, I think it is just fine, I might support another union if it didnt cost me any money and I agreed with the program.

People over 55 already comprise the largest group of voters by age demographic.

So, you have your "union" the problem is that you all don't agree with each other.

I definitely support the purpose of a union and have been a steward in my working days. But like any huge organization you have to take the corruption with the good.

Not everyone over 55 but everyone born before 1964 (babyboomers) and yes as a union, much like UAW ,Teamsters,Building Trades, etc, etc. YES

Isn't that what the AARP is? That's all we need more old people dictating what the rules should be when most of them aren't affected by what they vote for.

the ecu works because of the fact they only enable in countries with comparable economies and human rights priorities. A North American union never could because of the fact Canada practices Democratic Socialism, the U. S. is into unregulated Capitalism and Mexico is a banana republic with incredibly much no regulations in any respect. the 3 diverse societies could desire to never be in sync and could in basic terms serve to bleed one yet another dry, as is already taking place interior the dating between the U. S. and Mexico. We deliver them our production jobs and that they deliver us their undesirable. Canada could be silly to even evaluate getting any deeper into the cluster-F it is NAFTA. And given those information why could any Asian u . s . p.c. to get entangled. they had be extra appropriate off to make a p.c.. with China.
