No.Though it is a good metaphor on how the illuminati has brainwashed almost everyone on the planet in less than a century.Reality is nothing like it is told to us by a controlled media.

Well Acai that is surely possible that we are Guinea pigs in a matrix. If there's a First Cause or Supreme Being, incorporeal and existing only in Spirit, then there is no reason not to believe He/She has created an environment solely to observe us or even just for Her/His entertainment. In fact anything that can be conceived could be possible.Try to think of something that is impossible. This would make an execellent study for a Graduate student, If we assume a First Cause or God or Prime Mover or anything as such, what could possibly be not possible? You have a legit question here Acai. It's along the same lines that how do we know that we lose consciousness once our brains cease functioning physiologically? I wonder if Science will ever come up with an indisputable answer?Although the diagnosis for Philosophy appears grim ,the prognosis doesn't appear readily apparent.Oh yeah and before I forget that "where the focks at"?was also poking fun at Charles' apparent lack of brilliance, right?Your Pal larry M (give me time I'll catch on)...

Maybe. Thats the only actual answer you can get that is based on the facts. We don't know if we are- if we were, we couldn't prove it.
This question has been around long before the movie came out. Such as Plato and his cave.
Also, Descartes that he could not trust his perceptions on the grounds that an evil demon might, conceivably, be controlling his every experience.
It is also more distantly related to Descartes' argument that he cannot trust his perceptions because he may be dreaming
As well as the "brain in a vat" idea.

Well given those conditions it certainly sounds like Christianity and Islam. So one would have to conclude that yes, we are living in a matrix

it's all a matter of perspective. if you believe in god then you can compare life as a huge science experiment by god. rather, the "matrix" is an expression of society and the feeling of entrapment within the sociological boundaries of it. once you can understand that then you living "outside the matrix."

definitely, Descartes did in actuality pose an particularly comparable question in his e book, "Meditations on First Philosophy" (possibly in a number of his in different works, too). for my section, Descartes grew to become into incredibly marvelous, although maximum cutting-edge philosophers brush aside his shown fact that he proved the life of God (although his tries have been extremely clever). As on your question; do you propose that we are residing in a metaphorical matrix, or that we definitely are being deceived, and that are actual actuality is mere allusion? It seems such as you're able to recognize Descartes, and so which you will remember the predicament that maximum philosophers have faith he could desire to never get away: "cogito ergo sum" or "i think of, as a result i'm.", provides sufficient evidence that we do certainly exist, even though it leaves us with "solipsism", it is; how do all of us understand that all and sundry else exists (it is regularly talked approximately because of the fact the "black hollow of philosophy" - which some philosophers nevertheless hang to). surely, Descartes concluded that an "evil genie" or "devil" grew to become into no longer deceiving us on the subject of our perceptions of actuality because of the fact God is appropriate (all understanding, all loving, all useful), and that deception could be an imperfection (which won't be able to be cutting-edge in perfection). needless to say this brings us returned to the "How do all of us understand that there is a God?" question, and that i do no longer think of that grew to become into extremely component to your question, yet once you prefer to appreciate Descartes' answer, enable me understand.

Anything is possible. Atheism could be truth. The Calvinists could be right on the money. We may find out at death. Death could be the ultimate adventure. Looking forward to it?
