No way! Even with the steroids he is not good enough to be in the Hall of Fame ... more like the Hall of Shame!!!!

Although i like Giambi- his numbers do not merit hall-of-fame consideration. You still have guys like Jim Rice and Dale Murphy who are trying to get in.

Gimabi has been a solid player but is many years removed from his MVP like years with Oakland and has been too injured since that time. He will not have 2,000 career hits and will be no where near 500 homeruns and hasn't really done anything since the 2000 season. He's a good solid player but if you let Giambi in - you are opening the door to way too many players getting in and we see that Major League Baseball has been limiting how many people they let in.

If he were to get on the ballot it'd take so many tries that by that time people will forget him. He hasn't done much worth remembering in recent years- other than the steroids issue. i'm answering this question based on his merits and not considering that issue at all.

If he did not take sterioids he would not even be condsidered then.

Listen, Jason Giambi is my favorite player on the Yankees, period. But, Giambi was the best in the league maybe once or twice. He was great, but never excellent.

No Jason Giambi sucks. Plus drug users don't belong in the Hall of Fame.

The Giambino will be in the HOF. He was AL MVP in 2000 and he's been in a number of All Star games. He always hits clutch home runs. And yeah, he took steroids, but he admitted it, nlike other players. I know Bonds will get in for his HR record and we all know he takes roids, even though he won't admit it, so why not Giambi when he hits a few more hundred home runs.

I don't think he will get into the Hall of Fame for the same reason that Barry won't. He isn't getting in due to the steroids issue. Plus he isn't really that old and he doesn't have a starting sport at first anymore or the DH so it is saying that he just isn't good enough to do 20+ years. Plus look at his numbers this year after the steiroids scandle they were horrible. So that is going to be viewed as he did do them so I say he won't get in. But don't get me wrong he WAS a great player.

No way. If McGuire and Bonds are question marks getting in because of steroid issues, Giambi will not make either, even if he did come clean.

well, he has a lot of speculation around him with the whole steroids deal........

i think if Barry Bonds makes it then Jason Giambi makes it.....otherwise, not too likely, its possible.......but not likely

Regardless of his admissions to using performance enhancing drugs, I would have to say that his performance and durability in the past 2-3 seasons really ruined his chances. My advice would be to leave NY ASAP!

Even if he didn't take steroids, which he did, but even if he didn't, he still wouldn't be a Hall Of Famer. He just doesn't have the stats. For example, thirteen years in the MLB and he's yet to break 1700 hits.
