How much are some of your Christmas bonuses from you companies? i understand different size companies vary, and it also depends on your salary...but what are some examples?

Please don't give me smart-a** answers like "oh i get a handshake" or "you must be dreaming"

I'm curious because I know my company gives out bonuses for a fact.

I don't get Christmas bonuses at my current company, but I got them for 19 years at my previous company. When I was in a lower level position, my Christmas bonus was two-weeks' pay. It was then increased to three-weeks' pay. Once I was in management, it was more discretionary, ranging anywhere from 10%-30% of my annual salary. Hope that helps some.

Most of the time, bonuses are based in proportion to regular salary.

At my old company, I received a $1,000 year end bonus. Another company I worked for gave us $500.

I don't get one, but a buddy of mine gets a substantial Christmas bonus, as negotiated by his union. It's on the order of $2,000.

It's not really a bonus though. The union got it for him, and if not in the form of a bonus, it might have been higher pay or better benefits.
