I'd prevent the rise to power of Adolph Hitler. He systematically murdured millions of innocent people, he started a war that killed 50 million more and wrecked a continent, and destroyed Germany for a generation as a prosperous modern nation.

If Germany had continued to develop as a democratic nation with all its strengths in the arts, engineering, and science, if the Jewish people had not been exterminated from much of Europe, if great cities hadn't been laid waste, and if the continent hadn't been split for generations in the aftermath of war, the world today would be a much different place.

Imagine all the books not written, the diseases not cured, the inventions never discovered, the symphonies not composed...through his immense evil, he set the progress of the entire human race back to an extent we'll never be able to know.

If there is one good result of this great tragedy, it's that Europe became so exhausted by war that countires chose to work together for economic and political union and prevent future conflicts.

the first important journey changed into the signing of the statement, the second one changed into the signing of the structure - without those 2 events our u . s . as all of us recognize it doesn't exist. The third important journey changed into the Union prevailing the conflict of Gettysburg - the defeat of the Confederacy reunited the U. S.. The fourth changed into the bombing of Pearl Harbor - it drew us at the same time as a rustic and changed into the starting up of the U. S. transforming into a real great capacity. The fifth is the moon landing which gave the U. S. and the international a wish for day after today and also delivered alongside very a lot of recent technologies. i recognize that many human beings experience that the tragedy of 9/11 will qualify for this question yet i think that that is too recent of an journey to understand if it ought to have replaced our historic past seriously. If any between the above reported events had no longer occured we doesn't be as fortunate or as stepped forward as we are at this very second. We also ought to have lost a number of what makes us American.

I wouldn't change a thing. Everything that has happened in the past has led to who we are today. I don't know about everyone else but I am happy with who I am today. Everything that has happened in my own personal past leads me through the complications of life as well as the feelings of accomplishment, love, etc. As far as world history, humans (well some) have learned from mistakes they have made and have grown.

The rise in power of the Bush family in American politics. I would remove their 'special relationship' with the House of Saud. Lets see how far they would get in politics and global domination without that particular ally.
Or, the Kennedy assassination. Destroy the greater evil or preserve the greater good. Dilemmas, dilemmas.

fidel kastro's birth.

I would because entities like that should not exist, like Attila, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao tse tung, Stalin, and a few more.

But all those other disappeared quickly. This one has been on earth for tooooooo long.

Without it, life would be much, much, much nicer. Many innocent people would not have died or suffered so much

Vietnam War. It changed so many people's lives. it was one of the most horrible events in time. It has affected so many people. There would probably be fewer psychopaths now if it hadn't happened.

Columbus discovering America or in his mind "India". I'm Native American, and I always wonder what life for me and my ancestors would have been like. However - I probably wouldn't have been born because I'm also 1/4 caucasion.
