"Ever since i was little i always wanted to drink scotch with my grandpa, I can remember taco Tuesdays in by grandpa's basement playing pool and learning about life, I never did get to drink scotch with my grandpa but i got so much more from him than hard liquor."
BTW ^^^^ that is way shorter than what he said really condensed
That was said by my cousin vic at my grandpa's funeral, he is the most amazing kid ever

It is a quote that was used in the past and it will be again in the future. For me and other Christians it has great meaning. When Jesus died for our sins on the cross He said, "It is finished". That pointed to the fact that His earthly ministry was over. He will say it again on the last day of our world's (as we know it)history. "It is finished". Then everything will be brand new and clean. Lovely. Mmm

I have a lot of favorite quotes. Probably one of the best is "be the change you wish to see in the world", by Gandhi, but i don't really like to claim that as my favorite because a lot of people claim that as their favorite and I don't like to be cliche. haha
A good quote from a song is "It's easy to be surprised with both eyes closed," by Dashboard Confessional. i like this one because sometimes i'll feel surprised by a situation and then realize that if i had only thought ahead and been more aware, i wouldn't have been so surprised.
And the last quote I can pull off the top of my hear right now is, "there's no such thing as a free lunch." i don't really know what it means or who said it but it sounds profound to me *giggle*

your God person puts an apple tree in the middle of the gardan and says ' do what you like guys, but oh, don't eat the apple'. surprsie, surprsise they eat it and he jumps out from behind a bush shouting 'gotcha'. it wouldn't have mattered if they hadn't eaten it, because when your dealing with the sort of mentality which likes leaving hats on the pavement with bricks under them you know perfectly well they won't give up. they'll get you in the end"- ford prefect in the restaurant at the end of the unniverse.
no other quote fits how I feel about the nature of God.

My favorite quote changes regularly.
Yesterday: Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies.
Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I truly hate the character, but you have to admit, the statement had quite a bit of truth.
Today it's actually something I've said:
Grandmother: You didn't see your aunt and I waving at you during the assembly?
Me: Yeah, I saw you. *thinks about it* No, i didn't see you, I just make it a habit to wave at complete strangers.

Mine has to be "It is not these well-fed long-haired men that I fear, but the pale and the hungry-looking.”
This is by Julius Caesar, I believe at somepoint during his conquering of Gaul.
Fantastic quote, goes to show us the lengths of desperation a man is truly willing to go to when his life and very essence of being are endangered.
('course, having pale skin and being malnourished may have helped^^)

My Uncle said this to be on his deathbed. He was 74.
Roses are red
Roses are blue
I may not look like Mae West
but I guess I'll do
So save up all your nickels
and save up all your dimes
And whey you get to quarters
Come up and see me some time!

"You're not a hundred dollar bill. Not everyone is going to like you." I read it on megcabot.com, I guess Meg's grandmother said it (Meg is a famous author... The Princess Diaries, Queen of Babble, All American Girl, etc). I like it because it is so true, not everyone is going to like you, you just have to accept that and move on.
