alady in my county was in jail she was beaten by an inmate.the jail told her they would let her out her boyfriend carried to the hospital.the bill was 70.000.dollars'they sent the bill to her dad.they put her back in jail .has anyone hear of this before?

Yes, inmates can be injured, beaten in jail, or become sick. In the US, the jails have medical wards or have arrangements with local hospitals. They don't usually release you to handle it yourself, they keep custody of you as you receive medical treatment.
