That is your period.
When I got mine at 11 years old I only had brown spotting. I thought maybe I hadn't wiped myself properly because I had always been told it was suppose to be red.
There is a good chance that your period will be irregular for awhile. So, you must always be prepared. Always carry a pad in your backpack or purse from now on. I know that sounds embarrassing. But, it is better to be embarrassed about having a pad in your possession than to not have one and NEED one.

It could be. Periods come in all colors and flows. Sometimes when periods start, they're really heavy and sometimes it's barely enough to notice on a tissue. Either way, it WILL get heavier if it is, indeed, your period. For most women, the heaviest day is the 2nd or 3rd day so my suggestion is to go find a pad, put it on and keep an eye on that sucker. If you notice more blood, I think you can safely assume your period has started.

Sounds like a period to me.
Check again tomorrow and see if it gets worse. The second day always has a lot more blood involved.
Wear a pad, just in case!

It doesn't necessarily have to be a large amount; many girls only have a speck. Still, this sounds like your period. You should tell a parent or an adult you trust immediately so you can celebrate.

yep you got it congrats!!!! it will probably start out with just a little blood and as you get older your "flow" will be more heavy...i would suggest using pads at first until you get more comfortable to use tampons
