I'd look at swapping those. Both are great fields, but bioengineering is really becoming a hot area and the pay is 2-3 times the amount as molecular bio.

Those are great to take--it will allow you to start, for instance, as a microbiologist (entry level) right out of school, although you would probably want to also get a masters at minimum. You should also look for internships and summer jobs in the field to raise your skills and enhance your resume. Science majors like these will you make you employable in a number of areas; some of those jobs haven't even been created at this point! Good luck.

At the undergrad level, the two majors to consider are biology or chemistry. Although it might seem logical to pursue biology as a major, I think the chemistry major will benefit you more in your post-grad studies. Undergrad biology doesn't even get interesting until you reach the upper levels and those won't go into the detail that you'll want, whereas you can start tailoring your undergrad chemistry at the upper levels to align with your post-grad interests.

Interesting career choice.

Biomedical engineering. An MD and a PhD in biomedical engineering are the two important stages for medical study. a lot of human beings land up with the two in the event that they are certainly centred on study. of direction, this means 4 years for a BS, 4+ for a PhD, plus med college. the two an MD or a PhD in biomedical engineering will help you do medical study. The pay is large yet it relatively is not what you do it for. in case you have chose in basic terms an MD, %. regardless of. in case you have chose BME, important in that or yet another engineering container and do your graduate artwork in BME.
