I don't think so.

Bush lied and our soldiers died. Also many Iraqi citizens whose only crime was to be born in Iraq died.

That's two to three times any credible report I've heard. A number of things could be confounding such polls. One is bias by the pollsters, of course. And, some of those polled my feel it's in thier political interest to exagerate the loss of life.

It may also just be cultural. When you ask an American 'has anyone in your family died recently' he might well limit himself to his nuclear family - and his nuclear family might even be a single-parent one. OTOH, in many other cultures, extend families are the norm. There might even be confusion between house, household, and family, depending on how the polls are conducted. So one death might lead to many respondents claiming a 'death in the household.'

In any case, the upshot of it wouldn't be much different if the number is lower. Blood for blood is the way of much of the world, and memories are long in the middle east.

They certainly will, before they throw flowers at the insurgents who are intentionally killing innocent civilians in the name of Allah. There are plenty of private photos on the internet, showing the positive interaction between the US military and the local civilians. Of course you will never see them in the mainstream media because it doesn't fit their political agenda.

No, their liberators; if not for them there would be more like 4.3 million in mass graves.
