usually you will get an appraisal at work. its a time when you and your employers talk about how you think you have performed, your strengths and weaknesses, further training you may would to pursue. think carefully beforehand and make notes. take pen/paper in with you and take time to respond to their points. dont feel rushed and if they bring up any negative points (hopefully not) ask for examples so you can be clear, and possibly counter-act their statements.a transcript of the apparaisal should be kept in your personnel file; ask them to let you have a copy. it may be referred to in your next appraisal, to see if your aims/goals/training was achieved. remember its as much about them as it is about you, so dont be afraid to voice your opinion. good luck.
