"The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger... just an ordinary classic.
"All the Pretty Horses" by Cormac McCarthy... a prize-winning story of youths who travel south on horseback and grow up on the way.
"The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien... the book before the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy-- and quite an adventurous book!
Look at a few books by Mary Stewart... she writes a good combination of romance and adventure. Check them out at the library or bookstore of your choice, and choose the one that appeals to you the most. She wrote a lot of books! Some are for older people, some not. You'll see.
Others will have ideas for you here, too. Good luck, and have fun reading!

James Patterson has a series just for your age. It is called Maximum Ride. It is about a group of teens and pre-teens who have wings and can fly and all the trouble they get into to get away from their enemies who can also fly. They are 20% bird and 80% human.
PS. My daughter's name is Lilah also. But hers is with an H.

I think Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" was a great mystery book. I recommend it.
