Some of my checks were stolen but it was on an account that was closed about a month ago. I believe I know who did it and supposely they were going to try to use the checks at Wal-Mart. I havent heard anything yet but it has only been a few days.

More than likely. If you reported it stolen/lost the bank will return it to the Store unpaid but you will have no liability.
