Acting is a very demanding and challenging profession. Like all professions, one needs a lot of education and qualifications to be a master. One wrong impression people have about acting, most people think anybody can become a good actor or actress. No, this is not true, you need to be trained to master the skills such as how to learn your lines and master scripts, acting on stage, for TV, radio and to do voice over. One needs to study anatomy and physiology and to learn something about voice variation. Just watch TV or visit a live theater program where you live and start talking to the performers, most of them will feel appreciated and will gladly offer you the tips to be the future Angelina Jolie. On the other hand, why not google....how to become a proficient actress? and see what comes up.
Good luck to you.

There are many things to do to get you started. I reccommend that you take acting courses in college or university, or even classes that might be provided in your city. Meanwhile, you can keep your eye out for auditions for plays and so on. The thing you have to remember is that there is always going to be competition. The industry isn't meant to be taken personally. What I mean by that is you can't let yourself feel down if you don't make an audition; you just have to keep trying if that is what you really want to do. You have to start small and work your way up to get a name for yourself. The next step is finding an agent that will take you in and find you shows.
Amateur acting is difficult to make a living out of. I know in Canada (where I live), a successful actor (and I'm not talking about Hollywood) working regularily on shows, TV, commercials etc only makes 15 000 - 30 000 dollars a year. I don't want to discourage you though! If you put forth alot of time and effort you can do it. : )

Have you parents donate to all the fine arts funds possible in your town. Then start volunteering at the theater and you will end up rubbing elbows with all the essential people in town that can point you in all the right directions(possibly sponsor) and introduce you to all the key people necessary....the who's who in town..If you have what it takes someone will find YOU.
And absolutely....positively do not pay any money to any agency.........

You need to get an agency in your area.
It is easiest to get work in either LA or NY.
Start building your resume right now...if you have ever done theater put it on there.
Do local stuff.
its alot of hard work, it takes alot of commitment.
You can make a decent living as an actress, but dont expect to make millions.

Make sure you can withstand rejection--im not sayin you'll get rejected but it happens!!!
if your still in school plays and musicals are good because you will want some backround experience
it seems to me like disneychannel is the bestr place to start, i dont care how old you are!! people who try to move forward are almost guarenteed if theyre good and work at it.
you'll hav to start small, so try commercials first just to get your face out there
GOOD LUCK and i hope i was helpfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
