A house because you won't hear your neighbours and they wont hear you. Then you can have a back yard or a garden to spend time in. Also if you are planning on buying a house is better because you own the land and have more flexibility. In a condo or apartment you may not be able to make changes outside your house such as plant a garden on have a tree, that type of thing. Definately a house if you have a choice.

I say a condo because it's like a small luxury house and apartment and of course, I live in a 20 floor condo in Manhattan.

House - all the way. There are no neighbors that are connected to you and can not complain every five minutes. I always got yelled at when I lived in my apartment. I never lived in a condo, but maybe when I'm older, and want less responsibility, i.e. lawn and such, I'll buy one.
