OK....So if someone went back in time to say....10,000 B.C. Well wouldn't that mean that 17,000 years ago the person that went back in time was already there? I mean think about it, how could you go back in time if you weren't even alive at that time? Does this mean that the past and future are already set?

I'm sorry if you guys don't get my question, it is a little confusing, but I thought it was very thought provoking, and fun to think about =) Thanks!

Two things can't exist at the same time. (look at the movie Deja vu as an example) So I guess you could go back to 10,000 BC, but I guess the bigger question is would you be able to come back to 2007?

Ah good question. So the future you goes back 5 minutes and sees the past you. I would take myself out for a beer because I would have double the income. Also, since our DNA would be the same it would be like I was consuming twice the amount of alcohol which would save me some time I tell ya. I would have to disagree with you in saying that the future is already set. Free will would not let that happen.

Watch Back to the Future - all of your questions are answered there. If you still don't get it then watch House on the Lake with Sandra Bullok and Keanu Reeves.

Time travel isn't possible.

Hence, your question, along with the "Grandfather Paradox" is an easy one to answer. because it becomes irrelevant.

It's not weird. You have just pointed out why it is impossible.
