I have had Mirena IUD for about a year now. The doctor told me that the chances if me getting pregnant are very slim. She even told me that we did not need to use condoms.....yes I was stupid enough to listen=) Anyway I have been having dreams everynight that I am pregnant..werid I know. But I am freaking out now. Have you or anyone you know gotten pregnant with this type of birth control???

Girl i had that kinda of birth control and never used condoms ever. it worked great other than the doctor never cut the strings short enough for me so i went off but im getting another one but the copper iud this time it works great.. whens your period suppose to come? if your late take a test norally a test can tell ya for sure but normally 1 out of ton of women get pregnant but it very likely it doesnt happen. i wouldnt worry so much.

If you're afraid, take the test. If it is positive, you can take action, and if you are negative, you may want to look more closely into the source of your anxiety. Is there a project that you are working on that is on your mind, or perhaps some other worry? Dreams about pregnancy can mean many more things than simply pregnancy. What else could such dreams mean to you?

They are very slim but people can get pregnant on them.
Remember, the ONLY 100% effective form of birth control is NO SEX. Therefore, any time you have sex, you risk the chance of pregnancy.
And yes, I've read of people who have gotten pregnant on it.
