As a Yankee fan I think the best way to answer this question is to say that, I grew up with the Yankees. I've had the good fortune to have met several of the Yankee greats. I've always been impressed with the historical success of the franchise and have respected nearly all that have worn the Yankee pinstripes.
As a kid I lived and die with every pitch and as I grew older learned more and more about the game itself. It helped me to appreciate the players and the team even more. A combination of many things attracted me to the Yankees and I've been a fan ever since.

Not particularly.
I think some of the fans and players are cocky and percieve themselves as "too good" for anyone else. Of course, not all players and fans are this way, but some that I've come across definitely are.
However, the Yankees are an excellent team and for that, I respect them. I never go around saying they "suck" or I "hate" them. I respect all baseball teams who play the game well and fair, and the Yankees are definitley one of those teams.

The Steinbrenner Tyrany has ruined the Yankees.I have always liked their tradition and winning ways--(although I've been a Yankee despiser for over 48 years--hated to see my Tigers lose to them in Mantle & Maris era)...they are the most hated and most loved team in sports history.They are a very good team.Hope the son of Steinbrenner(sounds like a horror movie-lol) makes some right choices for the team.

Hate them more than any other sports organization in the world. Buying championships does not make you great. If any other team spent the money that the Yankees do, they would crush the Yankees. It is nice to see that their finally getting what they deserve... a losing tradition.
