I think Lou looks out for the average American. I can't say I agree with everything but I do agree with most of what he says. His show is the only watchdog we seem to have. He'll blast away at both parties because as he says, they aren't representing us. I think if it weren't for Lou more then a couple of issues that would have potential serious danger for us would have gone through without a problem, like the Dubai Ports deal, or bringing light to the Campeon and Ramos tragedy, the border guards doing their jobs now serving a decade in jail for shooting a drug smuggler in the butt trying to cross back into Mexico to avoid being caught. I think he does a good job, sure he rants, but so do we on here, constantly.

I watch Lou Dobbs whenever I can, and I admire his show tremendously. He's a REAL American leader - even the complaining is from the heart. While I don't agree with everything he says, I certainly approve of his efforts on behalf of ordinary people who no longer seem to have anyone on their side within the government. Lately he's gotten a little shrill - when his guests disagree with him on the immigration issue he slams them almost as bad as O'Reilly slams liberals. Also, Lou's repeating himself maybe too much - is it really true that you can't solve the immigration problem uinless you secure the borders first? How does he know this? I'm all for solving the immigration problem, but I'm against excluding possible solutions merely because Lou rejects them if they don't meet his "borders first" requirement. it's like he's driven himself to distraction with his frustration over this one issue...

I watch his show 3 or 4 times a week and I'm impressed by his common sense views. He's independent and, unlike his counterparts on Fox, he'll give both dems and repubs a hard time where deserved. Yes, he's against illegal immigration but so are 75% of the rest of us. He's also been on the case of our current "do nothing" congress. It's refreshing to watch some one tell it like it really is.

He's a bit obsessed with the Illlegals...but I dont mind. I'm sick of them too and am glad that someone in the media isnt letting the issue be minimized or swept to the side

15 million illegals is a lot. Its a very real problem :(

I think Lou is right on the money. My only complaint was when he said on O'Reilleys show that he wouldn't report an illegal in his neighborhood,if they were decent people. My question is,Why Not!!?? I know I would!

He used to make a lot of sense and still often does. But he seems to have become obsessed with specific issues, particularly immigration, and can no longer see the forest for the trees. I used to be a regular viewer, but, the last couple months, have lost interest in all the ranting and raving.

He is pandering to frustrated people by complaining about everything and offering a solution to nothing. Blah, blah, blah.....
