Sam Kinison used projection in his voice to be heard out loud with lots of energy and that was the key point in his act.
He talked about everything and everybody and especially harped on marriage since his failed.
His comedy routine was hilarious and poignant at times.
He had the looks, the face the body and the word right out of his mouth that made him popular.

Richard Pryor, hands down. have you ever no longer see Harlem Nights? I remember him being very funny. So I recently rented a dvd of some standup routines and guess what? I really didn't think he was very funny. Ah well. I'm still sorry he's dead!
