My baby girls father was going to be taken away by OCY.
Instead of bein taken away him and his mother left the state.
I haven't heard from him since.
His name was Josh.
I can't think of any but I want it to be similar somehow so his name is never forgotten and is always said .
Any ideas?
Thanks

The reason why I want to name her after her father is because he basically had no choice but to leave. His mom was a huge threat in his life.

Josie is about as close as I can get to his name. Will baby be given his last name? I am assuming his full name is Joshua. How about Josh-anne?

I really love the name Joss. They definitely sound close enough, but it's still a feminine and nicer name than some suggested. If you think that that is too short, you could always name her Jocelyn, with Joss as a nickname.
Joyce is also nice. Joyce is a beautiful female name and it does sound close enough to Josh. Nickname choices are avaliable for this name :)
I really think that naming your daugther in honour of the father is a lovely idea, but please don't go and create some silly name with Josh in it. They will only sound dumb.
I really love Joss, Jocelyn and Joyce, and those are the names I would choose. Good luck with choosing a name!

My son's name is Joshua Daniel. If he wanted to name a girl after him it could be Danielle Joshua. There is no feminine variant for Josh or Joshua but it can be used as is for a middle name. Or you can make up a name like Joshanna, Joshelle or Joshaleen.

Josslyn. That's what Samatha Harris from Dancing With The Stars named her daughter. But why would you want to honor a guy who took off?

I really like Josiah, or Jocelyn. Remember though if she has a resentment later in life about her dad taking off her name will always haunt her, and she might end up hating it. I think something more positive out of the situation might suit her better like Joy or Serenity

If I were you, would think long & hard about this choice you want to make, naming a baby in "his " honor . This will impact this child and you for a lifetime. What "honor" has he shown to you & this baby ? Please don't sadle this baby with a painful reminder of a relationship gone wrong. There are no excuses for not keeping in touch with you. . It's totally wrong & grossly unfair,to this unborn child.. Start this new life off with dignity & respect. SW RNP
